Just having FUN with MS RichEdit ActiveX control, NOT!

Dear Guru Centura Developers,

I hope this isn't a simple/dumb question because for the life of me I can't
solve it. Have done the regular research sites to no avail. Looks like I'm
treading in uncharted waters.

Anyone who has successfully used the Microsoft RichEdit ActiveX control
inside their Centura APP could they please help me here? I can't seem to
trap any of the messages except for the SAM_Create. I need to access
WM_KEYDOWN, WM_RBUTTONDOWN, WM_CHAR and SAM_SetFocus. I am led to believe
that Centura places all ActiveX controls inside another window,. Maybe I've
been trying to access the event system of this other window instead of the
ActiveX control itself..

Sounds simple enough to me. Good luck and may the force be with you on this one.

Running specs:
- CTD 2.1 SP2
- Win2000 SP2
- 1984 Toyota Corona (barely still running)

From one very lost sheep...

Tony

Don't worry gurus, I found the solution from the following news posting. It was a simple/dumb question after all :)

Code: Select all

Tony you can use a custom control and set the;

Centura run DLL: RICHED20.DLL
Windows Calss Name: RichEdit20A

So you don't need to use the activeX
