Info. & help on Manifest files

Post by Jeff Luther » 19 Feb 2008, 18:10

FYI, a user contact me via email this morning with the following:

"I'm looking for a CTD 3.1 manifest file (XP look and feel pplications).
Is there a tutorial about how to create and use it with CTD?"

To answer that, I'll post my response here and attach a zip of the
'stash' of manifest info I've kept over the years.

Anyone else interested, take a look at what's in here. The zip comprises
msgs. and samples posted over the years, plus HTML contents and zip of
the code from a Gupta DevCenter winner in April, 2004.

Best Regards,
Jeff @ PC Design

Thanks for all this Jeff! We're just starting to dig into manifests
ourselves.

Hi Jeff!,

Thanx for the summary on "using manifests".
I'm also experimenting with manifests. Works great so far!
It gives the applications a little push to a nicer "look and feel".
As far as I've tested not only with XP, but with Vista, too.

A good step in the direction of "no more battleship-gray! ... :o)

Cheers from Vienna,
Alex
