V6 on two pc's
V6 on two pc's
Hi to all.
This time the strange thing is another.
I have 2 PC's, PC1 for working and PC2 for network testing and emergency. On both I have installed the same version of td6.0 but, if PC2 is off, on PC1 I work well with TD, if PC2 is on, i get a very very slow pereformances with cbi60. It opens slowly, the program (APP) is loaded slowly, it takes some minute to start at run and the execution itself is slow, combo are opened slowly, and so on. APP and cbi60 are in the same PC1.
What the hell is happening?
Thank you.

Re: V6 on two pc's
Just some things which comes to mind.
Is there some synchronization going on between PC1 and PC2 when PC2 is turned on? (or visa versa)
(look at network activity in the taskmanager performance tab).
Could be a service or batch job is running when PC1 detects that PC2 is available on the network which reduces CPU and network bandwidth.
(visa versa)
Do you have any mapped drives from PC1 to PC2 or visa versa and does a process use that connection?
(Look at running services/applications on both PC1 and PC2 to see which takes a lot of CPU, memory and/or bandwidth.
Could there be a collision in IP addresses on the same network which hinders both machines?
Are both machines updated to the latest Windows update?
(is the option "delivery optimization" to download from other PC's enabled/disabled?)

Re: V6 on two pc's
Thank you, Dave.
I will investigate. May be a network problem. Infact, when on pc1 I open the network panel to look for an app, I see only C: and not F: (mapped on pc2) I see it only as network unit with all the others. PC1 is W11, PC2 is W10.

Re: V6 on two pc's
Other problem.
With TD6 on W11 I cannot see mapped network units but only local units. TD 41 does.
From W10 is ok even in TD60 .
Never ending story. I am getting crazy.

Re: V6 on two pc's
Hi,
maybe you started TD60 on Win11 "As Administrator"?
If so, try to start normal.
Regards Thomas

Re: V6 on two pc's
Yes Thomas, it runs as Administrrator but I cannot change. It has been installed this way.
In W10, if I run it as Administrator I get the same behavior. Thank You.
