RETRIEVING UNICODE DATA USING JDBC

Hi all,

I am using normal jdbc commands to insert and retrieve unicode
data(chinese) from MS-Access database on Windows 2000. However, the
characters are not seen properly after the insertion or deletion.I see
a '?'inplace of each chinese
character.I am sure it is not a problem with reading/writing
files,since I tested that issue and it is working fine.Is it a problem
with jdbc or the database drivers ? How do I go about solving this
problem???

The source code is as follows:
String dataSourceName = "foosource";
String dbURL = "jdbc:odbc:" + dataSourceName;

try{
Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection(dbURL, "","");
Statement s = con.createStatement();
s.execute("select chinese from fooc");
}
Cheers!
