Winfre() ?

I'm porting a SQLWindows app to run w/o a user interface in batch mode. It
runs beautifully on windows2k sp4 and sybase 12.0.

When I try it on w2003 & sybase 12.5, I get this error:

winfre() can only be called in Microsoft WINDOWS environment
4692 Segmentation violation d:/schedule/cm/dev/cms/bin/calcret.exe

Anybody seen this before? I've never heard of winfre( ) and google wants to
send me to oprah.com!

Thanks.

This error message appears to be coming from the file sqlsyb32.dll. Any
idea what function is trying to call winfre()?
