TD 4.2 Memory-intensive App Suspends in Vista/doesn't resume

When running in WIndows Vista, a TD 4.2 application engaged in a
memory-intensive process such as processing rows from a million-row-plus
table (using Microsoft SQLServer2005) and then inserting into a results
table will crash if the slightest system interrupt occurs. This system
interrupt can be as minimal as moving the mouse so that the task bar is
raised, or the screen saver activating. The TD 4.2 application then
displays a "Not Responding" message and the interrupted process never
resumes. This does not happen when running on earlier versions of Windows,
and has not been corrected by Windows Vista SP1.

Hi Didier,

We haven't heard anything back from Unify to fix this. Have you been able
to fix it?

Thanks,
Larry

The option "refresh library when change" does not work properly and has
never worked properly. There are some problems. E.g. a compile sometimes
results in absurd error messages (like "assignment of different types" for a
string which is set to a string variable). We are not able to use it (now
with TD 4.2) and where never able to use it (at least starting with 32bit TD
1.0, don't know how it was in good old 16bit SqlWindows 4.x and 5.x times).
