Posting to this forum does not replace email to Log-A-Bug?

Hi Everybody,

I just want to clarify the use of this forum as I'm not sure myself:

Posting to this forum does not replace sending an email to Log-A-Bug. Gupta
may consider your email, but I think the official way to report a bug is
still via Log-A-Bug.

So I would propose the following:
If you think you found a bug but are not quite sure, post to
forum.td.development to get feedback form other users. If you are sure that
it is a bug, submit it to Log-A-Bug. Once the bug is confirmed by Gupta,
post to forum.gupta.bugreport. Thus we (the TD developers) can use this
forum as an "inofficial" bug list forum. If your bug report to Log-A-Bug is
rejected (because Gupta was not able to reproduce it or didn't consider it
to be a bug but a "feature") you can still post to this forum, to make
others aware of the "feature".

Is my view consistent with the intended use of this forum?

Thanks,
Stefan

T

Excellent. Your view is just the way Gupta intended it, Stefan.
