Error when connecting to a MySql Database on a Hosted site

Hi, I am trying to fetch data from a MySql database that is in a paid hosting site (hostpapa.com), from a application developed in CTD 6.3.
I am using an ODBC connection wirh MySql ODBC 8.0 ANSI Driver for my connection.
During the first queries to the database it work fine. But after a couple of minutes, when I try to run another query on the same form I get the message:
"MySQL:2013[MySQL][ODBC 8.0(a) Driver][mysqld-5.6.47]Lost connection to MySQL server during query".
I tried several times with the same result.
I want to ask if there are any settings on the ODBC connection or on the MySql Database configuration that I can modify to avoid this? or any other suggestion is welcome.
