SQLBASE 11.5 Issue

Post by visionpro » 04 Sep 2021, 02:34

Dear SQLBASE experts,

My client has an issue with SQLBASE 11.5. The SQLBASE engine (dbntsrv.exe) starts manually.

When he needs to restart the server and he forget to close the SQLBASE engine, he then face an issue with the database. After he restarts the engine manually and do a check database, some indexes becomes corrupted . He then have to perform a reorganize or restore a previous database before he can use it again normally.

Without this problem, the sqlbase engine works perfectly.

Can I have a solution to avoid this kind of problem.

Thanks
Regards

Samad

.
Your solution is to upgrade to SQLBase v12.3.
It pre-empts this sort of thing and stops the corruption.
And performance is x100.
v11.5 is older than Methuselah.
Do it !
